Membrane Filter is a fine layer of absorptive material that split up the substances when a driving force is implemented across the membrane. Membrane Filter works on the proposition of physical separation.
Membrane Filters are used for the removing micro-organisms, bacteria, natural organic material, and particulates which can spread tastes, colours, and odours to water and respond with disinfectants to develop disinfection by-products.
To reduce the capital and operating cost, progressions are made in production of Membrane and module design.
Membrane filters perform as a barrier to separate contaminants from water, or they remove the particles contaminating the water. Membrane is used by ultrafiltration, Reverse osmosis, and nanofiltration in their various filtration processes.

What is the purpose of a membrane filter?

Membrane filters permits the flow of gases or fluids and on the other hand it prevents the passage of the entry of particles and microorganisms. Membrane filters are made of porous plastic films and these plastic films maintain the particulates that are larger than a specified pore size.
The purpose of Membrane Filter is to remove useable and non-useable molecules in order to sterilize or clarify the solution. Particles may be preserved by electrostatic attraction, sieving, or entrapment.

Membrane Filter :
It is made out of AISI SS316 & used for filtration of sterile liquids.
The unit is provided with two silicon gaskets and support screen with non-sticking mirror finish with bolts and ring nuts.
An air escape valve is also fitted to remove inside air.
